Our NameOur company name is FYVFY and is short for 5 versus 5 and is pronounced FIGH "V" FIGH. This is captured in our name ("FY" is short for "five" and "V" for "versus") and our logo. It is a reference to what basketball is about; five vs five or FYVFY.Our logo creatively encapsulates the name FYVFY by playing with the position of three Vs. In Roman numerals a V means 5. In English text, a V means "V", but it is also often an abbreviation for "versus". Our logo captures the duality of the meaning of V and literally means 5 versus 5. The "shoe"The FY-DENY I is named based on the purpose of the product: deny dust, dirt, grime, water, muck and whatever else is on the floor, in the street, on the grass, in the bathroom or wherever your basketball shoes used to go. We threw the FY in the product name because we thought it sounded kind of cool and its part of our company name! Th FY-DENY is designed to zip on over your basketball shoe so that you can get to the court and play and get off the court and go.
