FÀNDÉ isn't like most clothing companies you know. Our mission is twofold…In addition to bringing our unique vision to women's fashion, we seek to foster entrepreneurship and employment in growing economies. Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of traditional African patterns and colors, we design clothes for the modern woman on the go.With the help of Liberian women and local tailors, FÀNDÉ creates bold garments that bring together the best of centuries-old traditions and modern, on-trend styles.But we truly believe that we can do more than just create beautiful clothes. FÀNDÉ hopes to foster a positive connection between Liberian communities and the world through business, style and expert craftsmanship.The story of FÀNDÉ is closely intertwined with the story of its founder, Sianna Elise. As a designer, entrepreneur and Liberian-American, Sianna grew up visiting Liberia with her family. While on these trips, she'd get local tailors to custom-make clothing for her using traditional fabrics.Upon returning to America, she was approached by friends and strangers alike, who all had the same question: "Where did you get that?" This happened so many times, she felt she had to share her unique styles with the world.In addition to her love of all things clothes, fashion and makeup, Sianna has a deep love for Liberia and its people. She hopes that her clothes will honor their traditions while sharing a piece of their culture with others. In some small way, she hopes that FÀNDÉ can help people come together beyond race, class, and culture to build a better world.
