Flory Consulting serves national and international clients on issues involving counter-agroterrorism, emerging infectious diseases, carcass disposal, One Health and foreign animal disease response. Gary Flory, the company's owner, was deployed to the Midwest on 5 separate occasions in support of USDA's efforts to control the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza outbreaks and was a lead author of USDA's recently released Mortality Composting Protocol for Avian Influenza Infected Flocks. He has published articles on the weaponization of emerging infectious diseases, biosurveillance, and counter-agroterrorism for the journal Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Warfare. Recent presentations include Disposal/Composting in Response to HPAI at USDA's Avian Health Field Training in Greensboro, North Carolina and Puyallup, Washington and The Threat of Agroterrorism and Zoonotic Diseases in Asia at Non Conventional Threat CBRNe in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
