Gaig is a Barcelona-style gastronomic restaurant in the CBD area in Singapore. The family who runs it is the owner of one of the most traditional restaurants in Barcelona, Restaurant Gaig, awarded with one Michelin star since 1993. They decided to establish a restaurant in Singapore because the star chef, Carles Gaig, has participated in many conferences and conventions as a speaker. Among these is the World Gourmet Summit Singapore (2007). By this time, Carles had a feeling with the city and its citizens because of their interest in food and their large knowledge of the subject. In 2017, Gaig's family decided to open a restaurant in Singapore for themselves, Gaig, being Nuria (the daughter) in charge of it and Marti Carlos the executive chef.
