Galeri Tie Dye started with ideas to be a medium for artist, especially in Indonesia who wants to explore their sense of art in form of purely handmade Tie Dye Artwork and also to give them a chance to be known in our society. Since 2014, we have succeed accomplish 3 phase of collaboration with more than 50 local artists which commercially sold by auction. The growing number of artist who wants to collaborate attract us to keep chasing our purpose to upscale our position as a medium in art.As we seen the marvellous appreciation for our recent activity, it drives us to spread our wings to reach, not only artists, but also educating our beloved society to get involved in activity of creating an art. The level of appreciation that our people give to the art society is sadly, pretty low, and we try to level up that kind of things by together learning how to love, manage and create an art,especially,but not limited to tie-dye.Historically, Tie-Dye is a term from the vocabulary of the English language, which means "tie and dye". The original concept of Tie-Dye has been found in 500 centuries in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Tie and dye technique is already well known in China since 600 centuries. In Indonesia, Tie Dye affects the development of handmade artwork especially ‘Batik' cloth. The application of dyeing techniques in the manufacture of batik gave the birth to our ‘Batik Jumputan'. Tie Dye also do impact several countries in the world, such as USA with their "Flower Generation" campaign of love and peace, Japan with their unique process of making, and much more. We aim to develop our precious art of Tie Dye into modern form, which may be known nationally and internationally.Subjectively, we assume everyone can create Tie-Dye, because in fact it is simple, easy, and fun. We do provide to teach, sell, and give information to start Tie-Dyeing nor any kind related to art and exhibition for everyone that curious expressing their self into a piece of magnificent art.
