GalForce is an accelerator for women leaders in the Bay Area. Women make up more than 50% of the workforce, yet account for less than 3% of CEOs and 15% of executive boards. This leadership deficit isn't just an issue in Corporate America. Less than 17% of Senate & Congress seats are occupied by women. Less than 3% of all women owned businesses ever scale up to more than $1 MM in revenue. Less than 5% of Hollywood directors are women. GalForce is partnering with Bay Area universities, corporations, non-profits, and passionate women to accelerate the pace of change. Our 3 focus areas are: 1) Empowering women leaders: with the right leadership tools & capabilities to reach higher ranks within their organizations 2) Developing gender balanced corporations: that promote and support high potential women leaders 3) Creating collaborative networks: to incubate new models and find sustainable solutions to the women leadership deficit.
