Gamirasu Cave Hotel is located in Ayvali village near Urgup, the heart of Cappadocia region, with its 35 meticulously restored and designed cave rooms. It is the first cave hotel of the region, put into service in 1999.The Hotel has been used by Istian Priests in the Byzantine Era until the end of the first millennium A.D. It is the only hotel in the Cappadocia region which contains a Byzantine Orthodox church complex from the 11th century. Today, still, the original kitchen of the monastery is being used as a kitchen, as well as the dining hall, and some rooms in which priests retreated into seclusion once.Meticulously carved cave rooms of Gamirasu promise the spiritual feeling of Cappadocia along with the strikingly beautiful nature, serenity, and contemporary comfort in a pristine village of unspoilt beauty.
