Gandhi Brigade Youth Media connects underserved youth, ages 11 to 18, with adult allies who teach media arts and civic engagement. Young people employ the skills they learn to promote practical change in their schools and communities. Our primary objective is to help youth understand and investigate complex issues that contribute to their life experiences. Using video production, photography and graphic design as vehicles for personal and community change, we focus on the development of a core group of youth, teaching them critical thinking and communication skills, and then providing opportunities to practice these skills in authentic community projects.
