Gateway180 is the largest emergency family shelter in the State of Missouri. We serve as a temporary home to 162 individuals daily, with 90-100 of those individuals being children, and the average age of our client is 9 years old. In 2017, we provided over 63,000 bed nights to 1,311 unique individuals. Each family stays together during their stay at Gateway180, and we accept dads and their children, as well as families with teenage boys.We have hopes, dreams, and goals of stability for the many unique families we serve. Through personalized case management, we work to get our clients into permanent, stable housing in an average of 51 days, and it doesn't stop after they move home. We continue to case manage and keep in touch with families even after they have moved out, lend a hand up when needed, and ensure that they do not return to homelessness. Through this, we have achieved an 83% success rate.
