Gay & Lesbian Youth Services of Western New York (GLYS) is one of the oldest service providers to lgbt youth in New York State. Founded in 1983, GLYS is funded through private donations and grants as well as governmental grants. GLYS is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation and is eligible for directed donations through The United Way, SEFA and CFC donor choice programs. GLYS provides a safe and positive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning (GLBTQ) youth to learn more about themselves through peer interaction and educational experiences. The organization creates opportunities for emotional growth and community awareness.
