GB Shared Ltd is a new collaborative way of working together in counties across the UK. Our journey started in Lancashire where our founder, Lisa Edge, worked with the business community of Lancashire for almost 20 years. Based predominantly in the public sector, Lisa worked with thousands of employers over many years, always with a view to sharing knowledge and helping them prosper for the greater good of the county. What soon became apparent is that whilst the county had masses of support in the guise of various organisations, from Chambers of Commerce, to Universities, funding bodies and membership organisations, etc. what was lacking was the glue which held it all together. It seemed a simple solution that if we 'pooled' the counties resources in one place, everyone's business journey would be easier? And so, Lanca'share' was born. A central online platform which hosts information about; the latest funding opportunities for the county, a business directory of local suppliers, local tender opportunities, the ability to upload jobs to recruit locally, a central list of all the local training providers, networking groups, events, awards and more. The platform was made free so not to eliminate anyone from accessing the information which would allow them to grow. To list their own page, businesses pay to be part of the Lancashare family, just £199 a year (less than the price of an advertisement). For this, businesses can create a micro page on our site to ensure anyone looking for local suppliers, can see them. It further allows them to promote their ubsiness, awards, events, jobs, tenders and more. Moreover, we ensure we measure every bit of activity for our members and provide them with real time and annual return on investment reports.Due to pure demand, a year later we launched Mancheshare with the likelihood that Yorkshare, Cheshare and Merseyshare would follow. GB Shared Ltd will roll out in counties across the UK based on demand for a collaborative platform in their areas.
