Public Relations & Communications - Castelfranco Veneto, Veneto, Italy
"When you are looking for a PR consultant, you must first be a good communicator. It is important to know what you want and what you need as a starting point. It is primarily the responsibility of the potential client to lay out what they need. The consultant that you choose should be industry specific and have contacts in the field. Although the client needs to communicate what they need, as the expert, the consultant needs to be able to identify and prescribe what needs to take place. Additionally, be very leery of a consultant promising placement. There is no guarantee unless they are buying coverage. That is very possible. Just know that paid placement is not authentic public relations coverage. That is marketing and advertising. Don't be afraid to ask how they secure placements and if they also handle marketing and advertising. Make an informed decision."
