GCS is a student organization at UT Dallas that is dedicated to the cause of representing the interests of the graduate students of the Department of Computer Science, promoting interaction among students and faculty of the department, organizing academic and social events, and providing information pertaining to departmental activities and policies.Our current efforts include, but not limited to-- Regular academic events, presenting the ongoing research in the advanced Computer Science labs in the department.-- Organizing coding and interview preparation sessions for the students.-- Helping students with job search; getting job referrals and sharing various job search related resources.-- Seminars by professionals from the industry, focusing on their work and job-oriented information for students.-- Annual programming contests and other competitions to keep its students active.-- Annual Graduate Student-Faculty Picnic, and various other social events bringing the faculty and Computer science student Fraternity closer.
