Founded by Dr H. Uehara in 2006, GEC Co. Ltd. specializes in supporting Japanese industry and realizing Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC). Since the tsunami of 2011, GEC has driven sustainable manufacturing with focus on improvements in lean, product quality and energy footprint. In conjunction with Saga University, Dr Uehara and Dr Nakaoka (CTO) developed (OTEC) power cycles and associated technologies with the aim of increasing energy efficiency. Stemming from OTEC, GEC strives to promote energy efficient methods by utilizing existing heat sources. GEC are experts in DTEC (Discharged Thermal Energy Conversion), STEC (hot-Spring Thermal Energy Conversion), Desalination, Mineral water production, H2 production and Lithium recovery from seawater.
