Gems is a Naarm/Melbourne-based collective created to showcase creative work made by women & non-binary people.Formerly known as F*EMS, Gems is currently co-run by three friends Anna MacNeill, Freya Alexander & Tegan Iversen.We self-produce Gems zine tri-annually & fill the pages with art & writing by women & non-binary people based in Australia & worldwide.In addition to our zine, we curate art exhibitions, run markets & hold workshops.Our work encourages the creativity & talent of women & non-binary people. We strive to create a platform to raise their voices & have them heard & their work seen.
