Gender Champions at VIPS serves to promote an inclusive culture within the campus where not only binaries but gender non-normative identities are acknowledged and deemed as an integral part of our society. We, as a student body raise awareness and instill healthy discussions about existing gender inequity to bring about a perspectival shift among our peers. Activities are conducted throughout the academic year which help students understand the heterogeneous space that our campus is and embrace diversity. Moreover, gender champions are oriented and dedicated towards actively engaging, in the form of a support group, with students who feel distressed due to gender related challenges and identifying sexist behaviour employed by anyone associated with VIPS.
