Through years of running research practices in England and Scotland, both have built up a heritage and vision that has led to accreditations with The Association of Genealogists and Researchers (AGRA) in Archives and the Association of Scottish Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (ASGRA). Janet and Ian have served as council members and also had chairmanship of their respective organisations. Janet still serves as chair of ASGRA council, Ian being the current ASGRA Secretary. Ian was elected a fellow of AGRA in 2013, and Janet a Fellow of ASGRA in 2018.
