Since 1926 the company has assembled over 2.76 million vehicles in the country. GMSA has two production plants in Port Elizabeth, one situated in Struandale where the sub one-ton Chevrolet Utility, the Chevrolet Spark and the one ton Isuzu KB are assembled and the other is situated in Kempston Road where GMSA assembles Isuzu trucks in partnership with Isuzu Motors of Japan. In addition to the locally assembled products, the company also imports and sells a comprehensive range of Chevrolet and Opel vehicles in the South African and Sub-Saharan African markets. GMSA's sales and marketing office is based in Johannesburg with two satellite offices in Cape Town and Durban. South African customer expectations of accessible, quality service are met through a 134-strong dealer network across all nine provinces. The state-of-the-art Vehicle Conversion & Distribution Centre and world-class Parts Distribution Centre in Port Elizabeth serve the entire Sub-Saharan African market, ensuring timely delivery of quality vehicles, parts and accessories.
