GeoGeo is a Scottish geospatial technology company formed in 2011 with the mission of lowering the barriers of access for governments, organisations and communities to adopt and benefit from the latest mapping tools. As a small, dynamic team of devoted geographers, we bring together expertise in geographic information sciences (GIS), remote sensing and social sciences to drive mapping technologies for a variety of global sectors including international development, smart cities and the low carbon economy.GeoGeo currently operates under three interlinking branches including: (i) capacity building, (ii) geo-solutions development, and (iii) UAS-based earth observation. In our short history, this disruptive organisation has already attained several key awards and moments under it's founder including:* The award-winning 'Citizen Science Mapping' framework, piloted in Scotland for a Climate Resilience programme in the Carse of Gowrie;* Co-authoring the winning Glasgow Future City Demonstrator bid & playing a lead role for the Technology Platform;* Awarded 'Best Paper / Presentation' at AGI GeoCommunity '13 for 'modern mapping solutions for a future city' and again at AGI's Geo:Big 5 Conference on Smart Energy (February 2015);* First fixed-wing unmanned aerial system (UAS) team to attain CAA approval for both rural and urban operations* Developed EnergyArchipelago.com - the first global data portal for community-owned renewable energy.
