GeoSystems was formed in 2001 with the primary object of reducing risk through a better understanding of pore level attributes. GeoSystems applies multiple data sets including petrographic and petrophysical measurements on all type of rock samples from cores to cuttings, advanced log petrophysics, and production data to interpretations.Since the mid 2000's GeoSystems has worked on both gas and oil shale (mudrocks) plays having evaluated every basin in the US and Canada and are currently evaluating these types of reservoirs in several international locations. GeoSystems has developed techniques for detailed characterization of the nature of the pore systems and mineral distribution and how these factors relate to performance and stimulation. We have ongoing research for improved characterization of these types of reservoirs.GeoSystems laboratory services include XRD, SEM, AIM and thin section petrography. Our highly trained staff offers advanced log analysis, interpretation of environments of deposition and history of reservoir diagenesis. These interpretations are always related to how these factors effect reservoir performance and development potential.GeoSystems has a group of companies and individuals with which they have working relationships to provide a full integrated interpretation package based on client needs.
