The German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary is currently under the direction of Susan Woodward and is accompanied by Corenna Phillips. There are about 40 members. The Male Chorus has been a guest of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the Calgary Opera Chorus and the Calgary Concert Band. The choir also performs at special events such as the annual Christmas Choral Concert at Knox United Church and the traditional Prairie Sängerbund Festival every two years. The Chorus maintains close contacts with German Choirs in Europe, Canada and the USA. Strong friendships have been formed with several European choirs as the result of seven trips to Germany, most recently in 2008 (to Germany and Majorca) and again in 2011. In 2011 our choir celebrated its fortieth anniversary.Der deutsch - kanadische Männerchor aus Calgary singt zur Zeit unter der Leitung von Susan Woodward, begleitet durch Corenna Phillips auf Klavier. Vierzig Stimmen geben in Calgary jährlich ein Konzert und nehmen an zusätzlichen Veranstaltungen wie Weihnachtskonzerten teil. Ein grosses Anliegen des deutsch - kanadischen Männerchores ist die Kontaktpflege mit amerikanischen und europäischen Chören. In 2008 und 2011 führten die letzten zwei grossen Übersee - Konzertreisen den Chor nach Deutschland und Mallorca. Im Jahr 2011 feierte unser Chor ihren vierzigsten Jubiläumstag.
