Get With The Times is a passion project envisioned by Irene Babu and Maria Garcia at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic. Our goal with this project is to bring to light the various stories, experiences, and events occurring in the world at the time, such as the repercussions of social media and the internet, the impact of structural discrimination, and the general pressures and anxieties of life, especially during these unprecedented times. In other words, we question the state of the world we live in, and hopefully, it'll inspire those around us to do the same. Get With The Times is not only a passion project, it's a community. In it, we seek to bring forth a sense of awareness and incite change through open and authentic discussions. We hope to build a community through our blog and podcast wherein different ideas, thoughts, and viewpoints are shared; providing a platform for diverse voices and fostering a sense of belonging. Our goal is to be truly global while always striving to find that common ground that brings the world together.
