Most traditional parking technologies are built on legacy systems like embedded microcontrollers or hardware running in closed networks (typically on-premise LAN networks). Existing solutions like paper tickets, smart cards or RFID tags are expensive, difficult to maintain, somewhat unreliable and do not cover some important use cases and needs. They require more manpower which is increasingly expensive. We believe that our approach of using Mobile phones (combined with IoT and Machine learning) represents a platform shift for the parking industry. With “Get Parking” we help vehicle owners find parking easily or decide whether they should drive to their destination based on expected parking availability. We also help government officials, parking space owners and managers increase parking utilization, efficiency, revenue generation, security and improve the parking experience for everyone. Finally we make the job of a parking operator/warden easier & raise their efficiency.
