Founded in 2009, GFEP is a leading investment office for bespoke direct investing focused on the German, Austrian and Swiss markets. Based on its Partners' experience in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting and investment management, the firm offers families, family offices, private and institutional investors direct investment services and a highly individualized and specialized investment approach. From its offices in Munich and Hamburg, the Firm is responsible for acquiring or selling single company investments or building individual - family owned - portfolios of direct private equity investments. We originate proprietary dealflow, partner with our Principals when executing transactions, act on their behalf when required, help them acquire majority or minority positions, actively manage their investments, and engage in special situations. We are entrepreneurs ourselves, share the same values and co-invest alongside our enterprising Principals building mutual trust and creating a solid alignment of interest. We are long term investors and are prepared to stay in our chosen businesses beyond the investment horizon of our partners. While our service is completely bespoke to the entrepreneurial vision of each individual Principal, family or institution, we assume full responsibility for the investments and offer our Principals to get actively involved in every aspect of a transaction, from the early beginning of defining a strategy up to the exit. This sets us apart from typical fund or club-deal structures.
