PROFILEThe Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC) is the Investment wing of the Ministry Of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Ghana.The company was established to lead in tourism investments and infrastructure developments in the sector. It was set up in 1972 as a limited liability company to encourage tourism development in Ghana.Legal Status-IncorporationGhana Tourism Development Company Limited was established as a Private Limited Liability Company in the year 1972 under the Company's Code 1963 (Act 179). The Company was issued with Certificate of Incorporation No. 5937 on 24th November, 1972 and Certificate to Commence Business on 27th November, 1972.Vision To become an effective minority shareholding leading edge catalytic confidence-building partner in attracting both foreign and local investments in the profitable developments of sustainable quality tourism in Ghana.MissionGTDC exists to provide a congenial and viable investment environment accessible to both foreign and local / development funds. Such an environment should foster the establishment of commercially successful path-finding tourism investments in the various tourism categories at each stage of the tourism system, to demonstrate the attractiveness of such investments to private capital funds.
