Ghetto is one of the leading live music venues in Istanbul maintaining a focus on jazz, nujazz, world music, fusion and indie. Live music from popular local and international bands, DJ events, parties Wednesday through Saturday on the ground floor, with an exclusive bar menu, delicious cocktails and various spirits. Mezzanine floor METTO, which sees the stage from an upper level, is the building's center of attraction with its ceiling decorations reflecting the historical texture of Beyoğlu. Dinner, as a part of some events, is occasionally served on that floor. On the third floor, SESSION, another hall of 500 people capacity, with a different decoration and lighting, is where the after show parties and most DJ events are held. This floor is also available for private and corporate events. With its unique space, rare in the Beyoğlu district, Ghetto Terrace is almost a ‘liberated zone' for smokers or for those who prefer being outdoors in fresh air while listening to the live music in the background, rather than being in the crowd. Archie Shepp, Fred Wesley, Brazzaville, Incognito, Eric Truffaz, Beady Belle, Transglobal Underground, Tricky, The Divine Comedy, New Model Army, Jay Jay Johanson, Red Snapper, Fatima Spar, Does It Offend You Yeah!, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Charlatans are among some of the international names who have played here.
