Girard Auto Sales is a family owned business that was established in 1989. Although the owner, David Hagan, at that time, had been in the automobile business for twenty years this business was initiated to give him the opportunity to develop a hobby! David enjoyed buying the US Sports cars and shipping them overseas to American car enthusiasts. David had not anticipated that in a rural area in Central Illinois there may be a demand for used vehicles locally. Within just a few months, providing used automobiles to the local community opened a door for David's hobby to become a livelihood for him and his family. Although David is originally from Belfast, Ireland, he has always had a great appreciation for the "foreign" automobile. This is clearly seen when you look at the inventory that he maintains in the little city of Girard, Illinois. David and his wife Helen are very grateful to all of their customers, many of whom have become good friends. Over the years David has strove to manage and maintain this business with integrity and honesty.
