"Educating women, improving their representation and participation in their community"Girls Can Lead (formerly Perempuan Politik) is a non-profit organization with a vision to increase the number of qualified and respectful Indonesian women leaders. We held annual discussion as well as trained young women with a series of leadership and civic education training in order to enhance their understanding about national politics and how they can utilize the political system to support their life and community. We also help to advocate the capacity of Indonesian women in all levels to contribute in the decision-making process in a knowledgeable and effective way. Girls Can Lead believes that the rise of women's representation can help to address and resolve long-term issues, such as human trafficking, domestic violence, and the high mortality rate of mother and child in Indonesia. Eventually, we want to be the go-to platform in strengthening the network between Indonesian women and women around the world.
