Girls on the Run is an after-school program designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength. Our lessons focus on building social, emotional and physical skills in girls while encouraging healthy habits for life. Each season comes to an end with a joyful and fun non-competitive 5K. This culmination gives girls a tangible sense of accomplishment, setting a goal-oriented mindset into motion that will provide her the confidence to be the author of her story.Girls on the Run Michiana trains and supports volunteers to serve as role models to the girls after school through coaching a 10-week, 20-lesson curriculum in schools and community centers.Mission: We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Vision: We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
