WHO are we?Our group consists of six high-school friends, now third-year undergraduates, who unite their voices and varied opinions towards the goal of empowering girls. We aim to share and help the stories and struggles of girls and women we see around us. We also plan to slowly move to areas like domestic violence and rehabilitation of victims through education, skill development and placement. Our club name- Avtaar literally translates from Hindi to 'incarnation' or 'manifestation'. We believe women play many roles in their lives and they have various Avtaars like those of Indian goddesses; we appreciate these roles and want to work towards the maintenance of a healthy & happy lifestyle for women.
