GIURI Details
The GIURI is the informal group representing the Italian Research and Innovation community in Brussels, the platform bringing together the EU Liaison Offices of the Italian R&I stakeholders (universities, research centers, industries, trade associations, financial intermediaries, regions and local bodies).Since its establishment in 2011, the GIURI has aimed at facilitating and improving the interaction, information exchange and cooperation between its members, their national systems and the European institutions. The platform put a special emphasis on the sharing of experience and know-how in the area of European R&I, with particular regard to the R&I Framework Programme and the relevant policy dossier.The GIURI's activities aim at promoting the information exchange and the creation of added value for the members. The GIURI organizes, on a regular basis, informative meetings with European Commission representatives, MEPs, the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU, the Horizon 2020 Programme Committee Italian Delegates, as well as an annual networking and policy reception. The GIURI's activities also foresee the creation of working groups and task forces on specific topics of interest. Since the end of 2017, as the preparatory phase of the 9th R&I Framework Programme (Horizon Europe) started, the GIURI has intensified its activity of interest representation of the Italian R&I community at EU level.
