Although these are the population of dogs upon whom we focus, Give a Dog a Bone's programs are appropriate for any animal agency that holds dogsfor any length of time. Our programs provide Environmental Enrichment for dogs in long-term shelter care, changing daily lives of dogs in a species-impoverished environment through mental and physical stimulation, emotional nourishment, and rewards based training.Give a Dog a Bone is a quality of life program for long-term shelter dogs held at San Francisco's Animal Care & Control - the city's municipal shelter.
