GiveYourGap Details

GiveYourGap was founded in August 2011 by two recent UCSD graduates. Its mission is to create an accessible, dynamic website that encourages young people to work at nonprofits and social businesses during their "gap years," and beyond. GYG aims to bring personal stories and critical discourse to meaningful global development. The volunteer profiles are a platform for volunteers from from all over the world to answer and add in photos with their honest opinions of their gap experiences. GYG also features nonprofits and social businesses that the GiveYourGap Traveling team visited on-site while traveling through Asia from January-May 2012.
