Giving Soul Scholarships was founded to help students find their passion for making a difference in the world and and follow it through with individual action.When it comes time for students to fill their volunteer hours for college applications many students don't know what to do. Consequently, they end up just trying to fill up the required volunteer hours instead of doing something personally meaningful. Our mission at Giving Soul is to help students make those volunteer hours personally relevant and powerfully positive.How do we do this?First, we have developed a platform for students to earn college scholarship money for telling their story. Posting their stories and competing for the best story helps the students to define and describe their goals. The Giving Soul membership and scholarship program helps students improve their chances of college acceptance by showing colleges their unique personal interest in creating a positive change in the world. Many colleges are looking for that kind of dedication and relevance in students today.Additionally, our goal is to also develop a platform for matching students to nonprofit organizations that are in their passion interest to change the world. By connecting to those organizations, the students get a professional look at how others have been trying to solve that problem in the world. We hope that these connections can provide life long interests for our students.
