Gizmosis was founded in 2007 with a view to helping establish the emerging connected vehicle market. With the ubiquity of 4G data services and the popularity of smart mobile devices, it became obvious that there was a need to safely harness this technology in the car. According to a landmark study conducted by Virgina Tech, the least distracting option is voice recognition technology. OTTO is an always listening, voice controlled mobile application that enables drivers to safely manage calls and texts without ever taking their hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.OTTO has been developed over several years including 3 months as part of the Slingshot Jumpstart Accelerator program.Whilst OTTO has been developed as a safer driving app, it has many more applications particularly as a platform in the emerging wearable and Internet of Things space.
