Official Company page for Monash University's Linguistics Society (LingSoc). The Monash Linguistics Society is an established society at Monash University's Clayton campus and runs under the regulations of Monash Student Association's Clubs and Societies. Membership is open to all staff and students of Monash University, not just students of linguistics or a related sub-field. LingSoc aims to develop students' knowledge in key areas of linguistics including language acquisition, semantics and pragmatics, language endangerment, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, managing intercultural communication and teaching languages. LingSoc provides members with opportunities to network, discuss current language-related events and participate in club activities with members past and present in order to contribute to the broader field of linguistics at Monash University.
