The GDRG is an association founded by a group of economists, geographers, historians, linguists, political scientists, sociologists and specialists in cultural studies who undertake joint research initiatives aimed at developing and popularizing knowledge concerning global development.In their research the members of GDRG work on a wide spectrum of topics, with particular emphasis on development issues in Africa and Latin America. The diversity of the GDRG research interests does not hinder group's capacity in attaining their main aim: building global awareness, based on solid knowledge supported by life experiences and hitherto research carried out in the developing countries of these two regions. We co-operate with many non-governmental organizations in Poland and abroad, and with public institutions - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, European Union and the United Nations Development Programme, Poland. For many years, the members of GDRG have been involved in works on strategy and development programs for Africa and Latin America: They take part in consultations, provide training services and expertise.The GDRG is a registered body working in accordance with the regulations of the Act of Parliament of 7 April 1989, Law of Associations (Journal of Laws of 2001, No. 79, item 855, as amended), the Act of 24 April 2003 on Non-State Actors (Journal of Laws of 2003, No. 96, item 873, as amended) and its Statute.
