The Global Entrepreneurship and Development Institute (GEDI) is a Washington, DC-based research organization and consulting firm committed to expanding economic opportunities around the world.In 2008, we initiated a study of factors that lead to sustainable economic growth and job creation. With primary and secondary data sets drawn from more than 120 countries, our analysis has resulted in a unique global entrepreneurship and development index.Of significance for business leaders, the Index yielded three major findings:•We discovered the 34 essential institutional and individual elements that make up every country's economic growth system.•We identified the keys to unlocking a country's economic potential.•We determined the individual societal weaknesses and bottlenecks to market growth in each of 120 countries.
