We are a Community Interest Company that promotes and raises awareness of small co-operatives and communities from around the globe. We are not a profit making organisation. We aim to support those who have taken the first steps to help themselves and their families live a better life. Those who have joined co-operatives which produce ethically made crafts; providing income for members and funds for the co-op's cause.Our Mission:• To provide quality, authentic and fairly traded products to the UK market via a shop and the internet, in doing so supporting the producers and their families/communities.• To increase knowledge amongst buyers of where the products are from, who has made them, cultural highlights and difficulties they may face.• To reinvest any profits into developing countries.Our Values:• To ensure producers comply with fair trade regulations (following our Responsible Purchasing Guidelines). Producers do not need to be Fair Trade accredited (with World Fair Trade Organisation:WFTO) but will need to comply with Ethical Trading Initiative's base code (an ethical contract will be completed with each supplier).• Ensure producers get a fair price for their goods.• To not influence or force cultural change (through the introduction of western concepts), but to support sustainable livelihoods and learn from and promote their rich cultures. • Work towards being a low carbon business
