The Global Melanoma Research Network (GMRN) was created as a not-for-profit organization in 2014, and is dedicated to bringing together health professionals worldwide for the purpose of advancement in melanoma research. GMRN was created as an expansion of the Canadian Melanoma Research Network (CMRN), which was inititiated in 2011 by Dr. Scott Ernst. Background;Unfortunately, melanoma is becoming increasingly common. In spite of advances in surgical techniques and early detection, melanoma remains a significant health problem. With the development of molecular diagnoses and newer treatments the categorization of melanoma is undergoing rapid change. Consequently, there is a critical need to be able to track the impact of these new molecular diagnoses and treatment approaches in the outcome of patients with melanomaObjective; This project seeks to develop a global network of cancer centres involved in the treatment of melanoma and specifically to procure a global database.Goal; To determine patient outcomeLink clinical data with pathological and molecular subtypeEvaluate results of novel local and systemic treatments
