The 9th edition of the global waqf conference is being organised to focus and showcase the huge possibilities, potentials, and benefits which Waqf offers for the advancement of society. As a major socio-economic institution, Waqf plays an important role in poverty alleviation as it specifically targets the poor as major recipients of its benefits. With new regulations, coupled with disrupting technological innovations and the current effects of the Covid-19 pandemic happening globally, it has become imperative that waqf is further explored and its true benefits relaised for the benefit of humanity.The conference further aims to establish further clarity and a collective understanding of the role which innovation and technology holds in the revival and facilitation of waqf development on a global scale. With the theme, "PRACTICING NEW STRATEGIC THRUST OF WAQF DIRECTIONS IN EVERY FACET OF LIFE, the conference serves as a platform to explore the boundaries of new waqf development, new initiatives and progress in management, governance while shedding light on new innovations that are currently disrupting the Islamic and social finance arena both in Malaysia and globally.
