At GLSEN, we want every student, in every school, to be valued and treated with respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. We believe that all students deserve a safe and affirming school environment where they can learn and grow.GLSEN Maryland, a local chapter of the larger national organization, is working towards these goals here in Baltimore and the surrounding areas. We aim to train our teachers, reach out to our students, and equip our community to ensure safe spaces for all students. Our current program, Safe Space for All, enables us to do this work across the State of Maryland.Every day GLSEN works to ensure that LGBT students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment.
