Company founder Rocco Mamakos started GlutenWize after years of working as a baker at his family's wholesale bakery. As time went on, customers began to ask if there were any gluten free alternatives. Sadly, the bakery had nothing to provide at the time. Rocco went out to the local market and tried some gluten free cookies, but was unimpressed. He wanted to make a difference and help consumers find a gluten free cookie that they wouldn't just eat, but love.In October 2011 Rocco formed GlutenWize and began creating recipes based off of the delicious cookies that he had been baking for years. Finally, he had created what we feel are the best tasting gluten free cookies, available in chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. Creating a new category of snack, GlutenWize introduced its chewy granola shortly thereafter. In August 2012 GlutenWize began selling these two gluten free products in local supermarkets and natural food shops.
