Our StoryFor more than 23 years Gold Silk CEO Nasib Thabet has focused on bringing truly unique fashion and style in jewelry to discerning women of the world. Thabet comes from a solid retail background, building a successful group of stores in the Colorado travel retail and tourism markets. Most important was Thabet's daily interaction with customers that served as a solid foundation for his venture into design and manufacturing.In 1998 Thabet moved corporate offices and manufacturing to Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was here that Gold Silk, and its affiliate brands Christen Some' and Ocean Opal brand were created and marketed.Gold Silk's unique manufacturing concept has continued successfully throughout the domestic market for many years and remains a top selling private label product for one of the largest retailers in the US.Using his sense of innovation and keen eye for timeless beauty, Thabet initiated a comprehensive program to build new designs and product development for Gold Silk. The program effectively advanced Gold Silk from a domestically successful product and into a categorically dynamic and universally appealing fashion jewelry collection.During this time interest in Gold Silk began to surface from Europe and the Middle East, and International markets were tested and the results came in positive. From that experience, Thabet restructured the company to create a global division. Gold Silk is now marketed worldwide, with clients in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.As a means to service the needs of its growing travel retail client portfolio Gold Silk recently opened an office In Dubai, UAE.
