Gold Standard Accounting Club Details
The Gold Standard Accounting Club is the main business group found in the City University of New York's (CUNY) York College campus. Otherwise known as GSAC, Gold Standard is dedicated to providing all CUNY students the resources and opportunities necessary for personal development. Gold Standard focuses on three primary areas of operation: 1) Interactive Modules: Throughout the semester, meetings are held bi-weekly, where new updates in the accounting world are shared. These modules serve as a means of bonding between the members, as well as a place where students can receive homework help, get inspired, and find like-minded individuals.2) Event Coordinating: Along with regular modules, Gold Standard also hosts networking events, professional panels with guest speakers, as well as social events. GSAC also teams up with other organizations, both internal and external, to create events for all CUNY students in a larger scale.3) Awareness and Outreach: Due to the relatively new history of the group, Gold Standard is committed to reaching out to professional businesses and organizations to raise awareness of the club, as well as create professional relationships with such organizations to further benefit the members of the club. Alongside this, GSAC members are dedicated to giving back to the community by providing community service in various institutions.
