Our guide area, located in Northwestern British Columbia, Canada, near the end of the road native community of Telegraph Creek, on the Stikine River, has long been a favorite with sportsmen. Hunters have been coming to the area since 1884, when F.C. Galbreath pioneered the outfitting business in northern BC. Since then the area has become known around the world for producing exceptional trophy quality stone sheep, mountain goats, moose, caribou, grizzly bear, black bear and some phenomenal fishing. While there have been historical periods of commercial boom and bust, overall the area has been spared the ravages of civilization. Today, we can say that the area surrounding Golden Bear remains undeveloped and the hunting concession itself is subject to minimal hunting pressure, much of it has not been hunted in decades.The area is characterized by majestic mountains and valleys, glaciers, powerful rivers, rugged canyons and high plateaus.
