Gongoma Planet is a cooperative of musicians with many years of experience as workshop leaders and facilitators looking to expand the interest in the Gongoma music instrument and West-African culture.Our team is composed of skillful and passionate musicians and artists who deliver workshops based on West-African drumming, dancing, storytelling and handcrafting traditional musical instruments.Among our team there are storytellers, drumming / dance / percussion and singing tutors with many years of experience in teaching and performing both in schools and at public events. Our team is fully CRB checked and can provide references whenever needed.We are available for one-off projects or weekly workshops to facilitate lessons with large groups of people as well as providing one-to-one tuition. We perform at events, whether it is large scale or a more intimate gig. We always provide the appropriate entertainment/workshopsWe also run workshops in making traditional West-African musical instruments. At present we are offering workshops in handcrafted Gongoma(s). We are available to work throughout the UK and are happy to tailor workshops/events to your needs which can be a combination of any of the aforementioned art forms .
