Fund-raising - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Good Pizza was founded by Ben Berman, a graduate student studying for his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. When the pandemic hit Philadelphia in March of 2020. Ben had a big batch of pizza dough that he was planning to make for a get together with friends. After realizing that large gatherings probably weren't the best idea, Ben needed a plan to get rid of all that dough...And that's how Good Pizza was born! Ben developed a pulley system to safely deliver the pizzas down to his friends from his second floor apartment. The idea has caught on like wildfire since Ben's first "pizza drop" in March. Good Pizza's received visits and donations from organizations like Barstool Sports, the Philadelphia 76ers, and The Ellen Show. Philadelphians can now enter a Pizza Lottery to win one of Ben's delicious, handmade pizzas for every "pizza drop."All Ben asks is that people make donations when possible so that he can continue supporting Philadelphia-based nonprofits around the city. He makes all the pizza himself in his apartment and is so glad he can make a few people smile during this crazy time.
