GoodHat was born from a simple idea – to utilize professional information technology students to help local non-profits with their IT needs. A few graduate students from University of Washington, Tacoma agreed to help complete an IT project for a local organization that wasn't finished before the end of the last school year. News of their good work spread to other organizations and several reached out for help. What started as a favor grew and took new life as the team realized the scale of the unmet need for IT consulting and service in the non-profit sector.Now, GoodHat is looking to continue being the helpers. With a diverse group of current and former UW Tacoma students we are seeking out organizations who need help with projects of all sizes that make their organization digitally safe and secure.
