Why Alpacas?Alpacas first came to the U.S. in 1984 but came to Goose Mill Farms in 2016. Buyers were hoping to make fortunes off their luxurious fiber but as time went on, alpacas did as every other animal does, they reproduced and the population grew while the price of their fiber has dropped. Now having an alpaca on your farm seems almost as common as having sheep or goats. We wanted alpacas because number one, their fiber is indeed amazing, number two they are loving and fluffy creatures, and number three they all poop in the same spot. The Location?Situated on 24 acres in the rolling hills South West of Allentown and North West of Philadelphia, Goose Mill Farm houses 32 chickens, 18 huacaya alpacas, 5 geese, 5 cats, 3 dogs, 2 sheep, and numerous other animals who come and go as they please. The People and the Places? With 5 humans, 5 buildings, and 3 tractors, Goose Mill Farm is always bustling with life no matter what season it is.Where Can I Get More?Follow us here on Facebook and on Instagram @goosemill_alpacas for more fluffy creature love.
